PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid failing in optical channel settings in an optical transfer network constituted, using the wavelength division multiplex technology. SOLUTION: When nodes located at both ends of a link detect no wavelength usable for setting an optical channel at the link, (1) link information of the link are deleted from a link information lift held with adjacent nodes, or (2) the link cost contained in the link information of the link is changed to infinity or a numerical value never selected by the link for the route calculation. When a wavelength usable for the optical channel setting appears in a link having no wavelength usable for the optical channel setting, nodes at both ends of the link write and add link information of the link to (1) the link information list. Or the nodes return the numerical value of the link cost of (2) the link information of the link to a numerical value obtained, using a calculating method of the like cost, based on parameters including the band of the link. At the same time, the nodes inform adjacent nodes of the updated link information and newly generated topology information.
