<p>In the abandonment of offshore wells, the well casings 26 have to be cut below the seabed level, and then the platform 12 and all the well hardware above seabed level has to be lifted away. To check that each well casing is cut before the lifting takes place, a beam 30 is supported on the upper ends of two well casings 26a, 26b of the group, and a jacking mechanism 32 is mounted on the beam and is used to lift a third well casing 26c.</p> |
