PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil winder which feeds a coil with a required current to heat the coil without causing the coil to be over- or under-heated, even if coil resistance varies due to the temperature rise of the coil, thereby heating it as needed for molding a quality-stabilized coil. SOLUTION: The coil winder feeds a coil wound and formed around a pair of dies 10 with a current to heat it in the dies 10 enough to melt a fused layer of covered wires of the coil, thereby molding the coil. It comprises a means for detecting a power quantity consumed by the coil being fed with the current, and a current feed control means having a predetermined power set value to stop feeding the current for heating when the detected power quantity reaches the set value.
