SOLUTION: The image display device which is provided with a display panel 1 comprising a multi-electron source formed by connecting two- dimensionally arranged cold cathode elements in a matrix form with a plurality of row wiring and a plurality of column wiring, and which drives a plurality of the cold cathode elements connected with a single row wiring, comprises a correction amount calculation means 14 for calculating a voltage drop amount at a prescribed number of nodes defined on the row wiring based on each picture signal inputted from a signal switching part 13, and an arithmetic calculation part 12 for calculating a correction amount of each picture signal based on the voltage drop amounts at a plurality of nodes.
