PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cBN sintered compact which is high in abrasion resistance and high in falling off resistance of cBN grains. SOLUTION: The constitution of a binder of this sintered compact is that it contain at least one kind selected from among nitrides, carbides, carbonitrides, and borides of the groups IVa, Va, and VIa elements and borides of the groups IVa, Va, VIa and VIII elements, or contains at least one kind selected from among nitrides, carbonitrides, borides of the groups IVa, Va, and VIa elements, borides of the groups IVa, Va, VIa and VIII elements and an Al compound. |
