PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous fabric take-down device for a knitting machine, capable of individually taking-down knitted fabrics which are not knitted at the same time, and capable of locally changing tension which is given to the knitted fabrics subjected to knitting. SOLUTION: This continuous fabric take-down device for the knitting machine (1, 2) has two elastic belts (5, 6) which are continuously driven in the opposite directions by two horizontal drive shafts (7, 8) and guided to pass through two counter shafts (10, 11) positioned near to a knitted loop-forming area, wherein the counter shafts are mounted on two frames (12, 13) which are each supported on the drive shafts so that belts (5, 6) are mutually pressed by the frictional force which the drive shafts give to the frames, and further the device has means, such as variable-speed motors (14, 15) for driving the shafts and means (21, 22) for locally changing pressure of the belts, by which shapes surrounded by the belts are adjusted so as to make a difference between tension partially given on the knitted fabrics subjected to knitting.
