METHOD OF PREVENTING FLOTATION OF GROUND STRUCTURE DURING GROUND LIQUEFACTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and easy-of-construction method as countermeasures for preventing the flotation of a ground structure due to ground liquefaction. SOLUTION: The method of preventing the flotation of the ground structure comprises driving a steel sheet pile, to which a ground improving chemical filling pipe and its protecting casing pipe are attached, around the ground structure until it reaches a supporting ground and filling a ground improving chemical through the filling pipe into a ground between the steel sheet pile and the ground structure and an upper ground covering the ground structure for enhancing shearing strength to improve resistance to the flotation due to the ground liquefaction.
