BRIDGE AND ASEISMATIC STRENGTH REINFORCING METHOD FOR BRIDGE PIER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bridge having bridge piers securing high aseismatic strength without largely reinforcing the foundation of each bridge pier and to provide an aseismatic strength reinforcing method for the bridge piers. SOLUTION: A structure and a method, which reinforce and support the bridge pier 2 with bases 5 and 5 provided separately from the foundation structure 3 of the bridge pier 2 and history type braces 6a and 6c supporting the bridge pier 2 from the bases 5 and 5, are employed.
