PRODUCTION PROCESS OF MESOPOROUS CARBON FOAM USING COLLOID SILICA TEMPLATE

PURPOSE: Provided is a production process of mesoporous carbon foam using colloid silica template which uses common colloid silica to produce mesoporous carbon foam with a certain size so that it reduces the production cost. CONSTITUTION: The production process of mesoporous carbon foam using colloid silica template comprises the steps of: (i) modifying the surface of colloid silica into vinyl class silane; (ii) adding one component selected among anionic, cationic and non-ionic surfactants and stirring to produce micelle; (iii) adding monomer and radical initiator with double bond, polymerizing at 50-90 deg.C and cooling; (iv) separating nano particle layer from polymer, heating at more than 800 deg.C under nitrogen air, carbonizing and cooling; and (v) eliminating silica from carbide and drying.
