PURPOSE: A disc type motor is provided to increase rotating force and improve heat radiation capability by forming a disc type stator having a protruded core, while reducing volume of laundry washing machine. CONSTITUTION: A disc type motor comprises a disc type stator(320) having a plurality of protruded cores formed in the direction of a driving shaft(240) of a laundry washing machine(210), wherein each core is wound with a coil so as to serve as an armature, and wherein the disc type stator is formed by sintering the magnetic member attached to the bottom of an outer tub(220) of the laundry machine; a rotor(310) arranged to oppose to the stator with a predetermined spacing between the rotor and the stator, and which has a plurality of permanent magnets attached to a disc so as to allow the rotor to serve as a magnet; and the driving shaft for transmitting the rotating force of the rotor to the rotary member of the laundry machine.
