PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a driving danger of easily mistaking the sound hearing direction, and mistaking steering wheel operation since an external sound (for example, a horn sound sounded by an external vehicle) does not enter an ear attached with an earphone device when a vehicle driver uses this earphone for measuring a body temperature when using the earphone by providing an earphone device 1 with built-in eardrum temperature detecting means having an infrared ray sensor 9 for detecting an infrared ray radiated from an eardrum in addition to a structural member for performing the earphone function. SOLUTION: This earphone device 1 with built-in eardrum temperature detecting means is provided with an opening part 11 for introducing the external sound into an inside space of a probe 8 inserted into an earhole. Then, since even the ear inserting the earphone device can hear the external sound, the external sound can be caught by both ears. Thus, the sound direction can be accurately determined so that driving operation such as the steering wheel operation is not mistaken.
