<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily carry out remote control of the position of a cursor displayed on the display of a monitor. SOLUTION: A pointer device (not shown) photographs an image of the display 3 by a camera. When the whole view of the display image D is located within a center range 19 of the image as in Fig. (a), the position of the cursor Kd in the image D is detected, and the color of the cursor K on the display 3 is changed, as in Fig. (b). As the direction of the pointer device is changed to let the cursor Kd off a dead band region 20 set at a center part of the image, a control signal is sent from the pointer device, and the cursor K on the monitor display 3 is moved and displayed, as in Fig. (d) so as to let the cursor Kd enter in the nonsensitive range in a direction S. When the whole view of the image D is not contained in the center range, an unillustrated arrow guide is displayed in such a direction of making it contained.</p> |
