PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic convergence correction device enabled to shorten the length of a coil, while securing sufficient convergence correction volume and driving speed, and to provide an image display device. SOLUTION: The dynamic convergence correction device 1, mounted around the neck part of a cathode ray tube, comprises a cylinder-shaped holder 2, a horizontal direction correcting coil 7, and a vertical direction correcting coil 8. Out of the sides of the horizontal direction correcting coil 7, the sides curving along a holder 2, are formed into a shape of an arc of which, the central angle of the sector, having its center on the axial line of the cylinder-shaped holder 2, is made to range between 75 deg. and 85 deg., and out of the sides of the vertical direction correcting coil 8, the sides curving along a holder 2, are formed into a shape of an arc of which, the central angle of the sector, having its center on the axial line of the cylinder-shaped holder 2, is made to range between 65 deg. and 75 deg..
