A cast of an object or body part is formed and then used to produce a moulded article from a liquid chalk substitute material. A kit for the do-it-yourself preparation of drawing chalk and indoor or outdoor use accessories with a unique and personal character, comprises semi-manufactured articles and a detailed set of instructions enabling the user to prepare an exact impression of an object or part of a human or animal body, and then transform the impression into chalk or accessories. The impression is made by taking a cast in a mould and then using this cast to form a moulded article from liquid chalk substitute material. A filler material such as granite, cement, fluid stone material, bronze, (semi-)precious metal alloys, acrylate, polyester or other liquid plastic materials can be added to give different aesthetic appearances.
