PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling power saving of an air conditioner capable of saving a power consumption by regulating a vortex flow of an air generated by a vertical wind direction vanes and a lateral wind direction vanes of the air conditioner. SOLUTION: The method for controlling the power saving of the air conditioner comprises a power saving operation input step of setting a user's desired indoor temperature and inputting it to the conditioner, a partitioning step of partitioning the input indoor temperature to predetermined regions, a control step of automatically controlling the indoor temperature, indoor air flow rate, vertical wind direction vanes and lateral wind direction vanes by the partitioned regions, and a raising step of checking an operating time of the condition corresponding to the controlled indoor temperature and automatically raising the indoor temperature. Thus, the power saving of the conditioner is controlled.
