PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely replenish ink to an ink tank by a simple constitution, and make a recorder compact, light-weight and improved in reliability. SOLUTION: Ink can be taken into the ink tank 20 through an ink intake port 20b by a negative pressure introduced inside the ink tank from a total suction port 53. A suction port of each ink tank 20 is provided with a gas transmission member 48 which passes a gas without passing the ink, and an ink replenishment device part 3 whereby the ink can be taken into the ink tank 20 from the ink intake port by the negative pressure introduced inside via the gas transmission member 48. The gas transmission member 48 communicates with the atmosphere except when the ink is taken into the ink tank.
