An electrically conductive textile exists, which is suited for heating and which has a plurality of electrically conductive heating strands (1-4) that touch one another at a plurality of points of contact (9) via respective contact surfaces. It is problematic that the resistance of the textile can greatly fluctuate with different installation situations and load states. In order to rectify this problem, the invention provides that at least two of the heating strands (1-4) are fixed with regard to one another, via a fixation, to at least one point of contact (9) thereby causing the position and/or the size of the contact surfaces to remain essentially constant even when the textile is subjected to mechanical action.
