PURPOSE: A routing method for a switching system is provided to transmit call signals between PNNI and BISUP switching systems by routing BISUP type call signal with attaching DTL information by using a set-up message function. CONSTITUTION: A control board is in an initial state(S1). The control board searches the contents of a routing table of a currently input call signal(S2). It is determined whether an external destination number is set in the call signal of the searched routing table(S3). The control board transmits a message to the next node by DTL(Designated Transit List) information within a set-up message(S4). The current call signal is converted into a set-up message of a BISUP method and the set-up message is transmitted to a BISUP exchange(S5).
