摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimizing method of combustion, capable of considering specific parameters necessary for obtaining ideal combustion and response time characteristic to it. SOLUTION: An internal-combustion engine, operating under a controlled self-ignition state, is constituted such that the combustion state of air/fuel mixture in a combustion chamber is measured, a signal sent to a processing unit 46 is processed for measurement, and at least one combustion control parameter is controlled, in order to obtain the desirable combustion for the next cycle. The optimization method of combustion for the internal combustion engine contains processes that control several parameters are decided for optimizing combustion, the several parameters are classified into fast parameters and slow parameters, and in order to obtain the desirable combustion for the next cycle, the fast parameters are processed by a control loop inherent in the parameter and the slow parameters are processed by a control loop inherent to the slow parameters.
