PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidering method capable of readily preparing stitch excellent in design which is difficult to prepare by a conventional method. SOLUTION: This embroidering method comprises using an embroidery needle 1 and a first and second embroidery yarns 2A and 2B which are passed through at least one hole 10 and mutually different in kind and repeating a first operation for pushing the embroidery needle 1 through from the back of a base fabric 3 to the surface thereof and a second operation for pushing the embroidery needle 1 through from the surface of the fabric base 3 to the back thereof. The method has a step for engaging either one of each part of the first and second embroidery yarns 2A and 2B arranged on the surface of the base fabric 3 by the first and second operation with other parts of the first and second embroidery yarn 2A and 2B which are passed through the base fabric 3 by the first operation carried out thereafter.
