PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which a sheet can be carried without being contaminated. SOLUTION: A sheet S is carried below a recording head section ejecting ink by a carrying means and floating of the sheet S is suppressed by a sheet retaining member 9 disposed above the sheet S thus carried. Furthermore, a roll member 9a is provided at a position of the sheet retaining member 9 facing the sheet S such that sheet S is retained by the roll member 9a when the sheet is carried below the sheet retaining member 9.
