Method is performed by hydrogenation of di- and polysulfides or their mixtures with hydrogen in toluene or decane solution at 120-160 C in the presence of catalyst comprising, wt.-%: MoS2, 19-30; NiS, 5-9; boron, 1.0-1.2 or silicon, 8-8.2; A2O3, the balance.
