POLYPHENYLENE ETHER RESIN HAVING CURING PROPERTY, ITS COMPOSITION, AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR THE RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyphenylene ether resin (PPE) having a curing property, easy in production and low in cost, its composition and a production method for the resin. SOLUTION: The thermosetting PPE having the curing property that has a vinyl group at a terminal, is obtained by reforming a PPE having a hydroxy group or an ester group at the terminal to introduce a functional group having the vinyl group at the terminal of PPE. The method is easier and lower in cost because a dehydrogenation in side-chain methyl group by using n-BuLi as usual, is not required.
