PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a rubber roller wherein a silicone rubber is coated on the base material, and the adhesion of both can be maintained firmly. SOLUTION: In the method for preparing the desired rubber roller by coating the silicone rubber on the base material, the surface of which is previously treated with a primer, then a hydrodienepolysiloxane having at least 2 silicon atom bonded-hydrogen atoms in one molecule, is coated thereon, next an addition reaction type-silicone rubber material, containing organopolysiloxanes having vinyl groups, and hydrodienepolysiloxanes having silicon atom bonded- hydrogen atoms, wherein H/Vi number which is the ratio of molar number of H in the silicon atom bonded-hydrogen atoms to molar number of Vi in the vinyl groups is 1.0 to 1.5, is coated on this hydrodienepolysiloxane, and the coated addition reaction type-silicone rubber material is cured, and the base material and the silicone rubber are integrally molded by adhesion to obtain the desired rubber roller.
