LIQUID FOOD PACKAGE FOR USE IN MICROWAVE OVEN AND CONTAINER USED FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid food package which can be uniformly heated without causing contents from boiling over and a container suitable for use as the package. SOLUTION: The liquid food package is configured such that a container having a barrel and a bottom plate formed of a microwave permeable material is filled with liquid food and an opening is sealed by a lid. A peripheral surface of the barrel is covered with a microwave impermeable material from a position of an approximately 25 to 95% of a filling height of the filled liquid food to the vicinity of the upper end. The container for use in the microwave oven forming the liquid food package for use in the microwave oven with the barrel and the bottom plate formed of the microwave permeable material, the liquid food filled and the opening sealed with the lid has a peripheral surface of the barrel covered with the microwave impermeable material from a height position of approximately 15 to 95% to the vicinity of the upper end. The lid may be partially or entirely covered with the microwave impermeable material.
