PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect progress state of a blood flow obstacle by blood coagulation or the like in a separation means, continue medical treatment while avoiding medical treatment troubles, and stop the medical treatment and promptly return the blood in a blood line to a patient when the blood coagulation progresses further for a hemocatharsis device consisting of the separation means for removing unnecessary materials in the blood, a blood collection line and a blood return line for connecting the separation means and a body of the patient, a blood pump for circulating the blood to the separation means, and a sensor for measuring a blood flowing pressure at upper stream and lower stream of the separation means. SOLUTION: This hemocatharsis device is further provided with at least one of opening and closing bypass line diverging from the blood collection line and joining the blood return line, and a control part. The control part adjusts a flow rate of the blood in the pump in accordance with a measured result of the sensor and opens and closes the bypass line.
