PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which suppresses the peak value of current consumption without dropping the function and productivity of itself. SOLUTION: This image former sets not a usual reading speed but a low reading speed (#6), in case that the after processing in the previous job includes single sheet processing (#4: Yes), when reading the manuscript in the next job during image formation processing and post processing of the previous job (#2: Yes). The manuscript is read at a set reading speed (#10) unless the post processing in the previous job includes batch processing (#7). This compares the time T1 until the next batch processing with the time T2 required for reading one page of the manuscript 1 in case that the post processing in the previous job includes the batch processing (#7: Yes). If T1>=T2 (#8: Yes), this reads the manuscript (#10). If T1 is short of T2 (#8: No), reading is waited until the next batch processing is finished. |
