PURPOSE: A spacer and a field emission display using the same are provided to improve attachment of a spacer, exhaustion characteristic and vacuum exhaustion efficiency without changing characteristic of the field emission display, and solves charging and arcing during spacer mounting. CONSTITUTION: A field emission display comprise a bottom plate(310), a top plate(300), a spacer(320) and a frit(330). The bottom plate(310) includes a field emitter. The top plate(300) includes an anode electrode(303), a fluorescent material(302), a reflecting protection film(301) and a black matrix(304). The spacer(320) includes an upper support(321) for supporting the horizontal part of the top plate(300), a lower support(322) for supporting the horizontal part of the bottom plate(310), incline supports(323) of an optical fiber of a truss type for supporting external air pressure, and vertical supports(324) for vertically supporting at the ends of the upper and the lower supports(321,322). The frit(330) seals the space between the top plate(300) and the bottom plate(310).
