The punch (1) has a hollow punch shaft (2) with a ball-thread drive mechanism (4) inside. A tablet mould tool (10) can be fixed to one end of the threaded spindle (5) in this mechanism so that it can be rotated relative to the shaft but not relative to the spindle. An Independent claim is also included for a tablet press with at least one of these punches.
