A fan motor assembly for blowing cool air and a refrigerator having the assembly are provided to increase cooling efficiency by allowing a wire connected to a motor to be drawn through a wire outlet, thereby preventing the wire from hindering a flow of cool air. A fan motor assembly(100) for blowing cool air comprises as follows. A cover plate(110) is fitted on a front surface of a cool air duct(240) formed on an inner wall of a refrigerator to guide cool air. A motor mount plate(120) is fitted on a bottom surface of the cover plate. A motor, interposed between the cover plate and the motor mount plate, is fixed to the motor mount plate. Additionally, a fan discharges cool air sucked into a cool air suction hole(111) and supplies the air to the cool air duct.
