PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for flexibly managing the formation of partitions from cells (separate hardware entities constituting a system resource) which are independently executed. SOLUTION: This is a method for synchronizing some of cells having been constituted so as to form a partition and includes (a) a step (208a) for reaching a 1st rendezvous state, (b) a step (208f) for giving a delay so that some other cells reach an initial rendezvous state, and (c) a step (210) for entering a 2nd rendezvous state; and the mentioned cells execute the steps (a) to (c) independently in parallel.
