REFRACTORY COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING OXIDATION OF REFRACTORY BRICK CONTAINING CARBON

PURPOSE: A refractory composition comprising spinel, amorphous carbon, metal(Al, Mg and Si), and oil is provided, which prevents oxidation of the rear and joint of refractory brick containing carbon and is easily disjoined after use. CONSTITUTION: The refractory composition contains the components of: refractory materials comprising spinel powder(>=95% purity) and amorphous carbon in a ratio of 20:80 - 70:30, wherein spinel and amorphous carbon are less than 1mm in size; 3-10wt.%(based on extrapolation) of one or two of Al, Mg and Si which are less than 50mm in size; 10-40wt.%(based on extrapolation) of petroleum oils such as kerosene and heavy oil.
