摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium electrolytic capacitor of a small size, a large capacity and a small leak current through a method of forming a stable oxidized a having a high dielectric constant on the surface of the titanium. SOLUTION: This method of forming the oxidized coating on a metal titanium substrate comprises applying titanic acid or organic titanium compound on the surface of the metal titanium substrate to form the oxidized coating thereon, firing the oxidized coating in a vacuum, then subjecting the oxidized coating to heat treatment in the presence of oxygen and subjecting the oxidized coating to anodic oxidation in an electrolyte-containing solution, thereby forming the oxidized coating again on the surface of the metal titanium substrate. This titanium electrolytic capacitor uses the metal titanium substrate having the oxidized coating formed again by utilizing the above as an anode.
