PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web in which, even if a coating solution is applied to one side of and of webs having difficult widths while continuously moving the webs, the coating solution does not go around to the opposite coating face sides, and to provide a method for coating the web. SOLUTION: The web 10 is obtained by connecting a wide web 10W to a narrow web 10N. The wide web 10W is mildly narrowed so as to have the same width as that of the narrow web 10N at the end part of connection. Consequently, in coating the web 10 with the coating solution, when spray nozzles 18 are moved along both the edge parts in the width direction of the traveling webs and air is sprayed on the webs, the spray nozzles can be moved so as to follow both the edge parts in the width direction of the webs 10. |
