PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that increases heat efficiency in fixing using a releasing-agent coating system, and consequently secures a fixing property at the start of the device and prevents a charge in gloss during consecutive passage of paper. SOLUTION: A releasing-agent reservoir means is constructed so that an outer tank P is situated outside an inner tank 48 and the releasing agent is passed between the inner tank and the outer tank. A first scoop roller 43 is immersed in the inner tank 48, the heat of a fixing roller 4a is transmitted to the first scoop roller 43 via an application roller 41 and a second scoop roller 42, thereby heating the releasing agent in the inner tank 48. At the time, heat capacity of the releasing agent in the inner tank 48 can be reduced. Thus, a quantity of heat that the releasing agent absorbs from the fixing roller 4a is decreased. |
