PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where a fixing process in a most appropriate fixing process condition can be carried out on various recording material and a good fixed image can be obtained while usability and cost performance are improved. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: an LED 33 radiating a beam on the surface of a recording material 32 before fixing; a CMOS 34 to read and output the area of beam irradiation by LED 33 on the surface of the recording material 32 as an image; and a fixing condition setting means to control to set the fixing process condition of the fixing device according to the value outputted from the CMOS 34. |
