PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a remover for dental plaque with which a stain at a part, especially a space between teeth, a space between a tooth and gums, a narrow part of artificial tooth, a space between a prosthetic tool and a tooth, etc., to which a toothbrush is hardly reached, especially a stain strongly stuck to the tooth plane with a viscous substance such as a tobacco tar, etc., is effectively removed without providing a patient with a remarkably uncomfortable feeling. SOLUTION: In this remover for dental plaque comprising an abrasive for removing dental plaque or a stain suck to a tooth, a stain stuck to a artificial tooth and a stain stuck to a prosthetic tool by spraying the remover together with water or water and compressed air, a mixture of crystalline cellulose performances having 5-120μparticle diameter and sodium bicarbonate particles is adopted as the abrasive. Preferably a mixture obtained by mixing 1 pt.wt. of the crystalline cellulose particles with 1/3 pt.wt. and <=3 pts.wt. of sodium bicarbonate particles is adopted as the abrasive.
