PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device having high using efficiency of a space. SOLUTION: This conveying device 1 has a plurality of placing blocks 2 for holding a conveyed object, and the placing blocks 2 are connected to an annular chain 3. Sprocket wheels 4 and 5 are disposed on both front and back ends of the conveying device 1, and the chain 3 is suspended. The sprocket wheel 4 is rotated by a motor 20, thereby circulating each placing block 2 upper and lower. When each placing block 2 moves from an upper circulation region to a lower circulation region, the placing block 2 does not turn upside down. Turning force of the sprocket wheel 4 is individually transmitted via an intermediate shaft, and placing blocks 2 pass between the pair of sprocket wheels 4. Therefore, the conveying device 1 is miniaturized to improve the using efficiency of the space.
