PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the quality of a fixed image on the front side of a paper equal to that on the rear surface, as for a conventional image forming device for fixing unfixed toner images transferred to both sides of the paper with a single action. SOLUTION: The toner image on a photoreceptor drum 1 and the toner image on an intermediate transfer belt 10 are transferred to both sides of the recording paper, then, the images are fixed by a belt fixing device 50 and a fixing roller 18. By making the surface characteristics of the fixing belt and the intermediate transfer belt 10 coming into contact with respective sides of the recording paper at the fixation process equal to each other, the uniform quality is obtained in terms of the fixed images on both sides of the paper. |
