PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a method for controlling pile warps in a fabric moving type pile weaving machine, with which a fixed pile warp tension can be set without being influenced by movement of a woven fabric, a variation of openings of pile warps and an apparatus for controlling pile warps. SOLUTION: In a fabric moving type pile weaving machine 1, a first roll 7 and a second roll 8 are arranged as two rolls for winding and hanging a pile warp in a route for sending out the pile warp 3 in such a way that the rolls can be displaced in the longitudinal direction relatively to a weaving machine frame 11, one of the two rolls 7 and 8 is driven corresponding to the amount of the woven fabric moved and the variation of opening of pile warps and the other roll is urged so as to produce a fixed pile warp tension. |
