PURPOSE: A gear puller having a safety device is provided to prevent accidents and to easily remove a gear by completely removing protrusion of the gear by mounting the safety device holding the gear on a puller bar of the gear puller when the gear is removed. CONSTITUTION: A gear puller having a safety device includes a pair of puller bars(2), a gear puller, stoppers(4) and control bolts(5). The puller bars are rotatably hinged at both ends of a puller body(1). The gear puller is formed by removably screwing a puller bolt(3) at the center of the puller body. The stoppers are movably mounted on the outer circumference of each puller bar. Each of the control bolts is assembled to each stopper in a screw type to fasten the stopper to the puller bar.
