SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of synthesis of 1-alkyl-1,2-diethylcyclopropanes of the formula (I) where R is n-C4H9, n-C5H11, n-C10H21 that can be used for preparing a compound component of high-energetic fuels, antiviral preparations, pesticides, low-molecular bioregulating agents. Method involves interaction of terminal acetylenes of the formula R-=-H with triethylaluminium (Et3Al) and diiodomethane (CH3) taken in the mole ratio = 10: 30: 20, respectively, under normal conditions, in hexane, at stirring for 6-10 h followed by hydrolysis of reaction mass with HCl solution. The yield of the end product is 55-72%. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis of 1-alkyl-1,2-diethylcyclopropanes from substituted acetylenes with high regioselectivity, increased yields. 1 tbl
