<p>The present invention relates to a getter placement and attachment assembly (54) for securing and placement of a getter (58) along the major axis of a CRT (10). The getter placement and attachment assembly includes a getter spring (56) for removably securing the getter to an internal magnetic shield (38) affixed to a frame (28) of a mask frame assembly (24) of the CRT. The internal magnetic shield has sidewalls (42) with a plurality of apertures (50) therethrough along the major axis of the CRT to permit optimum deposition of a getter film within the CRT.</p> |
