RADIAL TIRE HAVING DIVIDED BELT STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of separation at the edge part of a belt layer by decreasing the occurrence of interlayer distortion at the edge part of the belt layer of a tire. SOLUTION: The tire consists of belt structure 32 for reinforcement where a belt ply 34 is divided into at least three segments 34a. A reinforcement cord for the segment of the belt ply is inclined in the same direction. The belt ply is divided into segments, the separation point of the belt ply is formed, and rigidity of the belt ply is decreased throughout the whole of the width of a tread. Since belt structure has two or more belt plies, the segments of the adjoining plies are displaced by a distance longer than height between the inner side surfaces in a radial direction of the adjoining plies.
