The circular machine manufacturing knitted goods has the cutting action and the securing of thread (4) in the fingers (3) of the machine strip-forming units (1) effected by selectors (9) fitted on a rotary control (8) which act successively on nullifiers (14) of the machine strip-forming units. The selectors can adopt an active or inactive position in relation to the nullifier in each case in order to establish its position which determines the action or not of an actuator (18) in relation to the cutting and securing of the thread which passes through the respective finger.
