PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio system capable of properly controlling a recording operation when a communication cable comes off. SOLUTION: A personal computer 1 supplies generated audio data through a USB cable 5 to an audio device 2. A USB-codec 23 acquires the audio data supplied from the personal computer 1, and converts the acquired audio data into an audio signal, and supplies it to an MD player 4 or the like. The MD player 4 data compresses the audio signal supplied from the USB-codec 23, and records the audio signal in an MD as composition data. A USB microcomputer 22 monitors signals periodically transmitted from the personal computer 1, and detects that the USB cable 5 comes off when the signal stops. At the time of detecting that the USB cable 5 comes off, the USB microcomputer 22 transmits a stop command to instruct the stop of a recording operation to the MD player 4. |
