PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a piezoelectric transformer that can be manufactured easily, and can freely set the amount of drop into the circuit board of a case, where a piezoelectric transformer element is accommodated. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric transformer 20 includes a case, in which the piezoelectric transformer element is accommodated. Connection terminals 34, 36, 38, and 40, connected to the piezoelectric transformer element, are formed while they are exposed onto the side of both ends in the length direction of the case 32. The exposure surface of the connection electrodes 34 to 40 is formed along the side of the case 32. The case 32 is inserted into a hole 50 formed on the circuit board 48, and the connection terminals 34 to 40 are soldered to electrodes 52 to 58 on the circuit board 48.
