The interior of each container (5) is filled with liquid by means of filler elements (1). The container in a filling phase is filled with hot liquid via a liquid-path (7,9) controlled by a valve (8) in the liquid-path, with filler elements heated to a filler element temperature. In the case of interruption to the filling process, the liquid-path is subjected to a hot flow medium in the form of a hot gas and or steam, in a section following the liquid-valve for maintaining the filler element temperature controlled by control elements or control valves (23,29).
