摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner for synthesizing a glass fine particle which is easily manufactured and has concentric multiple pipes and which has high gas mixing efficiency and is capable of affording high yield of a raw material, and also provide a porous glass substance using the same. SOLUTION: The burner for synthesizing the glass fine particle has a burner comprising concentric multiple pipes forming a central pot group that is a combination of injection ports for raw material gas, flammable gas, and oxygen, and an external wall of the oxygen gas injecting port is arranged to be more extruded to a head of the burner than an internal wall thereof. The method of producing the porous glass substance uses a vapor phase synthetic method wherein the flow velocity of oxygen gas injected from the oxygen gas injecting port in the central port group is controlled within a proper range by the use of the burner.</p>
