PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization device capable of uniformly sterilizing various bacteria at ordinary temperature under ordinary pressure without impairing the quality of a matter to be sterilized, dispensing with a pretreatment or after-treatment, and having no problem for ozone layer breakage with high safety. SOLUTION: This sterilization device comprises a power supply part for generating high voltage and a processing device having a discharge-side electrode for applying the generated voltage and a ground-side electrode to continuously sterilize the matter to be sterilized by moving it between the electrodes of the processing device and generating a pulse streamer discharge between the electrodes. The discharge-side electrode is formed of a number of needle electrodes arranged zigzag at prescribed intervals, and the ground-side electrode is formed of a flat electrode. |
